What her business does

We want to provide unisex gift options for babies. We sell leggings and accessories but our main business which I am building on is our baby batch brand wardrobe dividers.

Her business journey and how she arrived at the business ideas and started her own businesses

If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would one day embark on running my own little baby business I would have laughed at them. I was sure I would be a ‘lifer’ at the amazing job that I had. When I had my first child I could not wait to get back to work – I was incredibly lonely and unhappy. When I went on maternity leave with my little girl things changed – I had by this time met alot of other mums and like minded ladies and one of them (being a very intelligent and amazing woman said why don’t I try giving this a go. I had NO idea it would evolve into what it is today – it is still just a micro business but now I am so invested in my little venture that I want it to become something wonderful – maybe even a legacy for my kids…WHO KNOWS:)..haha..I hope this makes sense 🙂

What she finds most rewarding about having her own businesses

I think it is being able to be EXACTLY who I am and not needing to conform. I can be as dippy and crazy as I like without feeling i need to ‘fit in’ something I have never felt comfortable with.

How she approaches being a mum and an entrepreneur

Hahaha…this is a hard question indeed…because as I am typing this my kids are running around me screaming and chasing each other. I am lucky enough to have 2 days a week that both my sproglets are at nursery so I have that time to pack up my dividers (as i do that all myself) as well as work on taking photos for my Insta and Facebook pages. Other than that however I have to fit everything around the kids – they are my first priority and I am so lucky to have them.

The biggest challenges she has faced in her business
I think it would be keeping it fluid – the orders can sometimes be a bit slow and that can be quiet scary thinking ‘oh no..is it over?’
How she overcame those challenges

I just have to remain positive and think of new ideas to keep things fluid. It can be hard when you only have 2 days – but I am sure that it will all evolve and grow organically…fingers crossed.

What do you celebrate as accomplishments in your business?

hahaha…usually a big smile and a quick text or chat to my husband to say ‘there is another order’.
